There are many different ways for you to search for a job in the Hospitality Industry.  Some of the approaches you could take include - but remember these may not only options available to you in your location.


Online Advertising

There is now a website dedicated to helping you find a job in the hospitality industry, go to www.discoverjobs.com.au and look at the many different types of jobs you could apply for.

Contact Local Employers

You could approach local businesses in your area that you would like to work in and ask to talk to them about employing you.  Leave your CV, which should include your workplace achievements and experience and contact details.  Follow up your initial approaches.  Many employers in the hospitality industry, though, prefer to find their staff through recommendations from their existing staff members.  An approach through people you know working in the industry could be successful.

Newspapers

Have a look in the paper, either your local paper or capital city newspaper, there are normally lots of different types of jobs advertised in the hospitality industry.

Company Websites

Larger companies often advertise job vacancies on their websites, or include information on how to apply for jobs with that company.

Job Network

The Job Network is a national network of private and community organisations dedicated to finding jobs for unemployed people, particularly the long term unemployed. Recruitment agencies may allow you to register directly with them, and will advise you when relevant positions become available.
